Technical Note:This update can solve the following problems:
  1. Storage Card folder not displayed when you insert a PCMCIA ATA card and/or a CompactFlash card. Intermittant phenomenon.
  2. Warning message "Unidentified PCCard Adapter" displayed when you insert a PCMCIA ATA card and/or a CompactFlash card. Intermittant phenomenon.
  3. Warning message "Storage Card Warning" displayed. Intermittant phenomenon.

  1. Download EM8FPCM.CAB to your PC.
  2. Copy EM8FPCM.CAB to your EasyMate via ActiveSync.
  3. Double tap EM8FPCM.CAB icon on your EasyMate.
  4. "Install NEC PCMCIA driver update..." will be displayed. Press OK to start installation. Do NOT input an install folder name to NAME field before pressing OK button. Otherwise, PCMCIA driver update program will not installed to your EasyMate properly.
  5. When the installation complete, a message will be displayed: " EasyMate [OK] [X] - Setup finished. Please save data and reset the device". Press OK to finish installation.
  6. Now you can see "Setup Complete" dialog box. Then please reset your EasyMate. As to resetting your EasyMate, please refer to User's Guide for more information.
